Convert XRechnung to PDF
Need a printable copy of an XRechnung for your files, your accountant or a colleague who cannot read XML? MSGView lays the invoice out as a normal document and saves it as PDF with your browser's print function — free and without uploading the invoice anywhere.
XRechnung to PDF in 3 steps
- Drop the XRechnungDrag the .xml file (or the email it came in) onto msgview.app. It is read in your browser.
- Press PDFMSGView opens the invoice as a print-ready page. In the print dialog choose “Save as PDF”.
- Need the numbers too?Press CSV to export the line items — position, description, quantity, unit price, net amount and VAT rate — for Excel or your accounting tool.
A readable copy, not a replacement
The PDF is a human-readable rendering of the XML. For tax purposes the XML file is the original invoice: keep it as you received it. MSGView offers the original file for saving next to the PDF.
ZUGFeRD and Factur-X too
A ZUGFeRD or Factur-X invoice is already a PDF with the XML inside. MSGView reads the embedded XML, shows its data, and lets you open the original PDF or save the XML on its own.
Private by design
The conversion runs entirely in your browser. The invoice never leaves your device.
FAQ
How do I convert an XRechnung to PDF for free?
Open it on msgview.app, press PDF and choose “Save as PDF” in the print dialog.
Can I export the line items to Excel?
Yes. The CSV button exports every line item. In languages that use a decimal comma it uses semicolons, which Excel opens directly.
Is the PDF a valid e-invoice?
No. A PDF on its own is not an e-invoice. Keep the original XML; the PDF is a readable copy.
Is my invoice uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser.
