Terms of Use
Last updated: 16 October 2026
These terms apply to your use of MSGView at msgview.app (“MSGView”, “we”), operated by SSV Studio. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. The service
MSGView is a free web tool that opens and converts email files (.msg, .eml, winmail.dat, .p7m and related formats) inside your browser. It is supported by advertising. We may change, add or remove features at any time.
2. Your files
Files you open are processed on your own device; they are not uploaded to us. You remain responsible for the files you open and for having the right to open and convert them. Keep your own copies: MSGView does not store your files.
3. Signed files
For signed files (.p7m, .p7s), MSGView shows the content and the information written in the certificate. It does not verify the signature or the certificate, and nothing on the site should be read as a statement that a signature is valid.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use MSGView to break the law, to process material you have no right to use, or to disrupt, overload or attack the site or its infrastructure, including through automated mass requests.
5. No warranty
MSGView is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We work to make conversions accurate, but we do not guarantee that every file will open or that every conversion will be complete or error-free. Check important results against the original.
6. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, SSV Studio is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, arising from your use of MSGView. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
7. Advertising and third parties
The site shows ads served by Google AdSense and links to other websites. Third-party services have their own terms and policies; how ads and cookies work here is described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Trademarks
Microsoft, Outlook and Microsoft 365 are trademarks of Microsoft Corporation. MSGView is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Microsoft.
9. Changes
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
