About MSGView
MSGView (msgview.app) is a free web app for reading email files without Outlook. It opens Outlook .msg messages, standard .eml emails, winmail.dat (TNEF) attachments and signed .p7m / .p7s files, shows the message with its sender, date and attachments, and converts it to PDF, EML, HTML or plain text.
How it works
Everything happens inside your browser. The file you open is read and parsed on your own device by the page’s code; it is never uploaded to our server or to anyone else. You can check this yourself in your browser’s developer tools: no request carries your file.
Who makes it
MSGView is built and operated by SSV Studio, an independent software studio that makes small, privacy-first tools. The same studio makes PubOpener, a viewer for Microsoft Publisher files.
Why it is free
MSGView is free to use, with no account and no limits on everyday use. It is paid for by ads served by Google AdSense. Ads never see your files: they are shown by Google on the page, while your email stays on your device. See the Privacy Policy for details.

The app and its guides are available in English, Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Japanese, Chinese, Russian, Turkish and Ukrainian.
