Open an NF-e XML and see the DANFE
An NF-e is a Brazilian electronic invoice stored as an .xml file. MSGView lays it out as a DANFE, the printed summary everyone knows, in your browser. You can read it, print it or save it as PDF. The XML never leaves your device.
Open an NF-e in 3 steps
- Open MSGViewGo to msgview.app in any browser. Nothing to install, no account.
- Drop the XMLDrag the NF-e .xml onto the page, or the email it came in (.msg or .eml) and press Open next to the attachment.
- Read, print or saveYou see the DANFE with the access key and barcode, the parties, the items and the taxes. Print it or save it as PDF.
What the DANFE shows
The access key with its barcode, issuer and recipient, every item with quantities and values, ICMS, IPI and the new IBS/CBS fields when present, transport and payment information.
What it is not
The DANFE generated here is an auxiliary view, without fiscal value. The XML's digital signature is not verified, and the status at SEFAZ is not consulted: MSGView shows what the file says. If the authorisation protocol is missing, or the file says the NF-e was cancelled or denied, MSGView shows a clear warning.
Private by design
The XML is opened in your browser and never sent to a server.
FAQ
Is the DANFE from MSGView a valid fiscal document?
No. It is an auxiliary view without fiscal value, meant for reading and printing. For anything with legal effect, use the official tools.
Does MSGView check the signature or the status at SEFAZ?
No. The signature is not verified and SEFAZ is not consulted. MSGView shows the status recorded in the file and warns when the protocol is missing or the NF-e was cancelled or denied.
Does it support NFC-e?
Yes, an NFC-e (model 65) is shown too, with a note that it is a consumer invoice.
